Workflow
discovery |
|
|
The automated Workflow
discovery-function uses the Logical
references functionality to visualize set-fields
and push-fields operations between forms. It
is a feature which is intended both for documentation
purposes, change impact analysis as well as
application re-factoring. The implementation
in this version will be extended in future
versions to allow for Evolution-maintained
relationships. The logical references created
can either be one per object (eg. like in Master
Documenter(tm)) or be shared between objects
linking the same two forms. The links can (if
shared) have a thicker width to display the
amount of linkage in-between them. The different
combinations of workflow type-action type can have
different coloring.

Example of automatically generated Logical
Reference. This reference are is between the
Person and Issue forms and is a filter-set
fields operation, with six different filters.
The action in the filter is within parentheses.
